Jamelda J. McDonald (b.1991) is an interdisciplinary artist from central Texas who earned a BFA in Art Video from Syracuse University. JJ’s art practice oscillates between digital video and photography, assemblage, creative nonfiction and poetry. McDonald attempts to archive memory and sensation with reappropriated objects and content being the sutures used to connect personal and collective experiences. “Self expression as a multitude of voices” is the heart of McDonald’s practice.
